Jiffy peat pots are 100% biodegradable and are therefore a sustainable solution for growing young plants. The peat pots are filled with potting soil (preferably a fine one).  sowing soil ) and you can use cuttings and/or sowing in this.

When the plants are big enough you can plant them in the open ground. You do NOT need to remove the jiffy pot. The roots will grow through the wall of the peat pot. So you have no waste and the roots suffer less damage when transplanting, which causes less stress for the plants. The result will be faster growth and strong, healthy plants.
